WHO WE ARE
Fawaz Children Foundation is a Non -Governmental Organization established in 2018 with an aim of empowering children and communities based on humanitarian values and equal opportunities for socio-economic growth for sustainable development.
It is legally registered in accordance with the Laws of the Republic of Uganda and was issued with a license certificate number 7528 and permit umber 8997 by the Uganda Non-Governmental Organizations Bureau .The Foundation supplements to Government’s efforts for service delivery and also contributes to the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals. Fawaz Children Foundation is premised at Migadde Sub- County, off Bombo road, Gombe Division, Nansana Municipality Wakiso District.
Fawaz Children Foundation commits its self by witnessing the profoundly positive impact on the lives of Children and OVCs by empowering them with their families and the community to contribute and build a transformative change .The Foundation Prioritizes and targets children, Orphans other vulnerable children because
- Uganda has one of the youngest populations in the world with approximately a population of 50 million people (UBOS 2024)
- More than half of its population is children
- Ugandan communities traditionally and culturally absorb orphans within their extended family systems. IV. One in four households at least fosters an orphan however; many of these care givers are overburdened living in extreme poverty with household income below 1$ a day. V. Most families lack the socio-economic capacity to provide adequate care and support to these children.
